How to turn JPG and PNG images into a PDF

  1. 1

    Add your images

Choose JPG or PNG files, or drop them on the box. Each image becomes one page. They are never uploaded.

  2. 2

    Set up the pages

Put the images in order, then pick the page size (A4, US Letter or fit to the image), the orientation and the margins.

  3. 3

    Create and download

Press Create PDF and download the file. Phone photos are turned upright automatically.

Photos and scans in one PDF

A PDF is easier to send, print and keep than a folder of loose pictures. Turn receipts into one expense file, a set of scans into a single application, or holiday photos into an album that opens in order on any device.

Good to know

  • Page order is the list order. Drag images or use the arrows before you create the file.
  • Too big for email? Shrink the result with the PDF compressor.
  • Already have PDFs to join? Use Merge PDF.
  • Need smaller pictures first? Resize them with the image resizer.
  • Going the other way? Save PDF pages as pictures with PDF to JPG.

Frequently asked questions

Are my photos uploaded when I make a PDF?

No. The images are read and put on pages by your own browser, on your device. Nothing is sent to a server, so ID scans and receipts stay private.

Will the image quality drop?

No. JPG and PNG files are placed in the PDF as they are, without being squeezed again. The only exception is a photo that was stored sideways by a phone: it is redrawn upright first, at high quality.

What does “Fit to image” do?

It makes each page exactly the size of its image, plus the margin you choose, so nothing is cropped or surrounded by white space. A4 and US Letter instead fit each image on a standard page, centred.

Can I put different sizes of image in one PDF?

Yes. Every image is scaled to fit its own page, so a wide photo and a tall scan can sit together. With “Automatic” orientation, wide images get a landscape page and tall ones a portrait page.

Can I add WebP or GIF files?

Yes. They are converted to PNG in your browser first. For the best result, use JPG or PNG when you have a choice.
